The Superior Court of Santa Clara County provides detailed information for both these kinds of cases on our Self-Service website:

• If a child is accused of a crime, the case goes to the Juvenile Justice Court (Delinquency Court), which is the Juvenile Justice Courthouse on Guadalupe Parkway in San Jose.
   
• If a parent or guardian is accused of abusing or neglecting a child, the case goes to Juvenile Dependency Court, which is in the Terraine Courthouse on Terraine Street in San Jose.

Juvenile Justice Court 2008 Report to the Presiding Judge

The plight of troubled children and the Juvenile Court has been a matter of interest to the local press and the community in recent years. Because of this interest, the Superior Court of Santa Clara County has posted a year-end report for 2008 of activities in Juvenile Justice Court, prepared by the Presiding Judge of Juvenile Court, the Honorable Patrick Tondreau.
